The baby banana on the patio

I was sitting in the cabin and whilst relaxing in the sun coming through the doorway, I grabbed this backlit view of the baby banana. Its parent's trunk can be seen just behind it. 

I'm contemplating how to separate and pot them on, and whether to risk planting the big one out into the garden. There is actually another offshoot that has appeared this year. The 'baby' is actually two years old now.
