2099. Before....

We have been clearing out our kitchen in preparation for the new carpet being fitted...what a palaver it is too...
The carpet had to be glued down because we have old tiles underneath and they didn’t recommend screeding it last time...so they now have to remove it all....and they’ve decided to screed it this time...
All of our stuff has been decanted to the spare room and the fridge freezer is in the hall.  It’s amazing how much stuff you need to anticipate when you can’t get into your kitchen!  They are due any moment and we won’t be able to get back into the kitchen until tomorrow morning when they actually fit the new carpet.  Our biggest challenge has been finding power points for the kettle, microwave etc....but I’m sure we will manage...

Feeling a little more settled about the recent changes in restrictions as we now have a clear idea of what we can and cannot do...had a bit of an annoyance yesterday when our local council put out an announcement about hair dressers....it wasn’t helpful and suggested that they will have to close them again...which isn’t what was said by the FM.  It turns out that I can only get my hair done if I keep my mask on all the time...which will be fun whilst getting my hair washed... but a minor inconvenience!  I’m not quite sure why the local council put out a slightly distorted message...

Hopefully tomorrow’s blip will be the finished kitchen!
