Green woodpecker

It's good to drive home from London in the pouring rain and find that it's sunny here and that the woodpecker is still excavating ants on the lawn.  This is a juvenile male - he has grey feathers amongst the red feathers on his crown (=juvenile), and he has red in his moustache (=male),
