Invisible wildlife

The lanes, fields and downs are currently filled with newly released panicking young pheasants running every where, trying not to fly but finally flapping and squawking over hedges to get away from an excited sausage dog racing towards them.   But the raptors are very much noticing them as well and this a not very good picture of a hill laden with pheasants and, at one point nine red kites circling.   As they mainly eat carrion maybe they were waiting for the pheasants to have a heart attack.  I think there were a couple of buzzards too but the kites far outnumber them.
