Dunstanburgh Castle

Lucy’s birthday, and today we did one of her favourite walks, along the beach from Low Newton to Dunstanburgh Castle. It is, indeed, a fabulous walk! Wild and windy understatement today though, not so bad on the way to the castle with the wind mostly behind us, but it was hard work struggling against it on the way back. We were sand blasted in both directions, and at one point on the path it was impossible to avoid the spume blowing up over the cliff - brown muddy foam all over our clothes, faces, and in our hair!

Home for a FaceTime call with Tom, who’s alone at home near Leeds. Then a birthday tea, followed by a film. A good day!
