Sweet Alyssum

First of all, thank you once again for the hearts, stars and wonderful comments on yesterday's 2500th photo.  I was overwhelmed with the outpouring!

Today's main photo was taken at a local ski resort (another photo in Extra) and their summer look.  This was a window box type of planter along a very long deck - the scent was of fresh honey, so pretty on a picture perfect day with a high temperature of 76F.  Apparently, they usually have events like weddings in the summer and you can use the ski trails for hikes and mountain biking.  I doubt they're having very many weddings or large gatherings this year.

Also in Extra a morning walk with the little Miss where she is telling me "No, I want to sit on the wocks," aka rocks. We walk up to this horse stable about 5 days a week which has been featured here more than once and is about 1/4 mile from our house.  The routine usually involves seeing the 2 resident horses and Brian the Beagle and the always pregnant looking male goat.  We often bring apples and carrots for the horses to snack on.  Today they had just been given their hay and they were preoccupied with that for a bit.  On the way out, we always stop at the stone wall where she has to sit for way too long and then I have to figure out a way to coax her to walk back to the house.

Many many thanks to Bikerbear for continuing to host Flower Friday.
