Caerlaverock nature reserve

It’s been lovely sunny crisp autumnal day in SW Scotland. We went on beautiful nature walk at Caerlaverock nature reserve. We normally take a left fork towards Caerlaverock castle, but today we kept right along the coastal path. We had a hazy view of the Lake District across the Solway.
I took this photo of Wardlaw hill in the distance, where an ancient hill fort once stood.
