A SURPRISE.....

.... what a day and why this now is a Back Blip!

We started off early enjoying the Grand Final of Alice's Netball. The Under 9's had ended up in the Final playing a team expected to beat them due their size (their average height was quite a lot more). AND, that damn wind was still there blowing a cold VERY strong Westerly.

Well you know the story.... a terrific game and in the end the girls won 11 - 8 so considering the conditions alone, they should be very proud.... certainly very excited.

Then some celebration and we headed home, stopping off at one of the Horse Stud areas. After all the recent rain there is plenty of water still lying in the low spots.
First time have seen these Black winged Stilts. How interesting, really long legs and beak, and in the wind were on a couple of occasions, looked like they were toppling over.

Also had this Heron getting some lunch as well.

Quick run home as the mighty Panthers were playing their last competition round aiming for 15th win in a row - yep they did it winning 42-0 so ended up winning the minor Premiership. If you wish have a look at the presentation here. Now into the Final series so see how we go.

Enjoy and have a look in LARGE
