Mrs. Walking Stick

Dear Diary,

Every September I am almost guaranteed to see a Mr. or Mrs. Walking Stick somewhere in the yard. I think this is Mrs. as its abdomen looks full of eggs. This time she was conveniently right at my door checking out my white pumpkin and purple asters.  I think she was having a wee nap.  They are quite comical with their slow movements but their life cycle is very interesting.  Here's a link...
