What struck my fancy

Resting in peace

Old boats are laid to rest at this end of the Fisher Fleet (King's Lynn UK), at high tides. They are roped in and left stranded on the banks. Further off to to the right out of shot are the seagoing trawlers and this stretch joins the river Great Ouse which ultimately meets the North Sea. Satellite view on the map shows you the local geography.

Addendum

I saw from the Marine Traffic site (thanks Tagimo) that a cargo ship was coming in just after high tide. I went back and took several photos, one shows the lengthy vessel turning in the river ready to reverse into the docks, passing through the Alexandra Dock and then into the Bentinck Dock, the last extra is the satellite view of the docks and the superimposed position of the vessel as it approaches its mooring point, courtesy of course of Marine Traffic.
