Truly honoured to have expert international human rights lawyer Dr S Chelvan of No.5 Chambers sit for #TheIdentityProject today. His work has helped change the way LGBT+ people’s asylum cases are assessed by the Home Office and United Nations.

As an Activist Lawyer, in the positive sense, he uses the law as a sword and shield to drive forward the protection needs of Queer Refugees he represents. As a storyteller and interpreter, he interprets his client’s story into the foreign language called the law with a vision to be the mouthpiece for those who know the words, but have no voice.
