Visiting

Today we visited my cousin in her nursing home. Very fortunately we have had no Covid deaths of older people in nursing homes in our state. We have been very lucky and have all followed the strict guide-lines and rules.

My cousin is 83 and her memory is sort of OK for her age, and we could chat about some of the shared things of the past. Other things had been forgotten.

Visits from family members are so important for seniors. It helps prevent them feeling bored and isolated. Staying physically and emotionally engaged with older people can help prevent depression caused by loneliness. We will visit again soon.
Age correction. She will be 87 next month.
