Lechlade

A Sunday walk along the towpath beside the Thames at Lechlade. At one point a parade of swans began walking across the path away from the river, and whilst we stopped to allow the swans to cross, many others, including some with dogs, seemed quite oblivious to the fact that there were a large number of birds waiting for a gap in the human traffic. Once all the birds were out of the water and grazing in the field, we went to investigate something white. Sure enough it was a swan that appeared to have lost an argument with a dog. I thought this adolescent made a happier image.
