Fearful symmetry

Well not quite but I was still feeling poetic after my poetry zoom group meeting this morning.  Each fortnight we discuss two poems on a different theme; today's was aging. The poems were Ulysses by Tennyson and Inside the Wave by Helen Dunmore, two very different takes not just on aging but also on Ulysses/Odysseus when he returned from his adventures.  As ever I enjoyed the discussion and have come away wanting to read more poems, this time by Helen Dunmore.

This afternoon we made the most of the still blue skies and went a walk combining the Black Spout Wood and back road to Edradour which took as along the side of the Tummel.

Again we were incredibly lucky and saw not one but two red squirrels. One was scampering along the road and the second, later one, up a tree and then down it. Always a joy to watch.

My task for this evening involves preparing a quiz which appears in the local Heartland FM on-line Magazine. It includes a combination of general knowledge and questions with a more local flavour. The hardest   part is making anagrams of local place names (but it also the most fun).
