Rimac

It turned out to be a gorgeous day. Sunshine this afternoon and very pleasant temperatures. We drove to Donna Nook in the hope of seeing the RAF flying but they were too high up. Rumour has it that they will fly tomorrow.

We found a reed pool behind the sea wall on the site of a demolished mansion called Pyes Hall. Saw little egrets, a cormorant, ducks and redshanks and heard a curlew.

Then we drove to Saltfleet and managed to buy coffees at a superbly stocked village store. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a picnic of sandwiches and coffee.

Then to the Rimac nature reserve which was fabulous. A large flock of geese kept rising into the air flying as a large gaggle, a bit like a murmuration. Still some small brown dragonflies on the wing.

Must start making spagbol for dinner shortly.
