Home communion

Another day trip to see my poor old Dad.

He is no better really. But today, whilst I was at home, the lay minister from the church he has worshiped at for the last 30 years, came to the house to give Dad his communion.

What I hadn't realised, it was quite a service. The collect, the gospel and the lords prayer were all spoken. There was an air of ritual and formality and I could see Dad garnering to participate. It was very moving, and seeing mu Dad's strength in wanting to worship was quite amazing to see.

If you are so inclined, please pray for my Dad, and make his last days as pain-free as possible.
