Weird Marine Creatures?

Along with all the other excitement of yesterday, we had an electrician arrive to install a much-needed outlet in the kitchen.  To make his life easier, we emptied out one of the cabinets, and discovered these scary looking things lurking way in the back!  Not to worry -- they aren't malicious marine marauders, just some sweet potatoes desperately trying to find a way out of their dark confines!
