View From Helsby Hill

I have featured this view from the top of Helsby Hill before but focussed on the trig point which is just behind to my right.

In this picture you can see Helsby in the foreground with the station in the middle of the picture. There is a train approaching the station which is on the Chester to Manchester Line. There is also a branch line going to Ellesmere Port which can be seen running in a straight line to the top of the picture. Stanley and Thornton station is on this branch line, one of the least visited stations in the UK which I featured on August 10th 2019.

The line of trees running across the centre hides the M56 while further back to the right is Ince Marshes which runs into Frodsham Marshes where I have frequently blipped the birds. The river behind is the River Mersey with the Manchester Ship Canal running in front of it (hard to make out). In the very far distance to the right you can just make out Liverpool while the land to the left is the Wirral.
