DOWN SHE COMES....

.... the old Windsor Bridge over the mighty Hawkesbury River is coming down!
It has some amazing history check here - but although designated "Heritage" a replacement Bridge was approved to replace this 1874 icon.

If you are into "Political interference" have a read in the ole Wiki info which details the much disputed Political interference to replace the Bridge.

The new Bridge is now open and this week the old bridge is coming down.

Just wanted an early record so went over today to get some pics. This one shows the first road section taken out - some other pics starting here on Flickr.
