Pulling the wool . . .

. . . over the poles.

I'm not sure what this is all about, apart from brightening up the place, but everyone to their own way of helping to 'Keep Oban Beautiful'! Nudge, nudge!

I know that one must remain positive, but I do get a bit depressed to see all the unpleasant things about the town - litter everywhere, weeds everywhere, leaning and rusty lamp posts, bent and rusty railings, bent and rusty street signs, trees growing out of buildings, weeds growing out of gutters, broken walls, broken fences, broken bollards - to list but a few! It's no good thinking that it's all a result of the lockdown, as it's always like this!

So enjoy the knitted poles and as a special treat, I've added an extra taken down at the harbour at 9am today, the early sun lighting up the buildings and boats.

Today is apparently Poetry Day, but the best I can do is -

Limerick of the Day:

A disgruntled young soldier named Harrison
Bevvied up and broke out of the garrison.
He was caught in a bath house
Got a month in the glasshouse,
And didn’t enjoy the comparison!
