First fire

Supposed to be storm with high winds and heavy rain this evening, so I tried to put as many things as possible away in the garden. Not too successful as finding it hard to carry much without keeling over. Had same problem with baskets of apples and pears earlier. Cleaned pool a bit as will need to cover it soon .

Tonight I lit the first fire although it’s not very cold, but it’s a good comfort. Gyp is frightened of the sparks.
