Castell Dinas Bran

This afternoon we went for a walk from The Panorama at Llangollen. As the area was going into lockdown this evening we thought that we’d walk there as it could be no-go for a while.

It was sunny most of the time but we had two very sharp showers while we were on the top of the hill which made me wish that I’d taken my waterproof!

This is looking towards Castell Dinas Bran, the castle on top of the hill. We didn’t go up there this time but have done so on other occasions.

The extra is Dog-tooth lichen seen on a lovely old moss covered wall. The brown structures are their fruiting bodies and gave the lichen it’s name as they look like dog’s teeth. Years ago it was used as a cure for rabies.
