Stobinian

As the weather was set fair we decided to go up to Balquhidder and walk up Stob a' Choin, a Corbett and Stob Breac a Graham. We weren’t particularly early and the glen was rammed with cars parked in odd places but we decided to go to the car park at the end of the road where in amongst the imaginative parking we found a space that nobody was in, so that was good. The weather was excellent, but unlike last weekend it was decidedly autumnal, so no shorts and I wore my jacket all day as the wind was quite strong. There was a forest track at the start but once we left it to go up the hill there was either no path or deer trods so it was hard work on the spongy vegetation. We got up Stob a’ Choin  after several small and rocky tops and then set off for Stob Breac by contouring round beneath the lumpy hills to the col where we went on up to the second hill. The blip is taken on the last wee hill looking north to Stobinian and Ben Challum; the evening light was great.

Yesterday’s blip.

Best on black.
