Growing old disgracefully

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

10 years ago, the Professor and I had dinner in Paris, travelled wagon-lit through the Alps, danced a square tango in St Mark's Square (I must have been pissed, cos I certainly can't dance when I'm sober) and bought these Murano glass heart shaped earrings - OK, I think I actually bought them in Scotland years later, but they were in memory of that wonderful evening in Venice. I'd been ill for some time beforehand and the recovery started with that journey, so it will always be special. But I don't need to be in Venice or anywhere else exotic to know just how special my Professor is. This is my late Valentine's Day card for him - guess who forgot to get him one...
