Annual trim

The Relief Channel is having its autumnal trim. The grass was all mown earlier in the week and this weekend is the turn of the bank and the rushes. Although I like to see things wild it does it good once a year. It clears the bank of bramble and the rushes will be dying off soon so it helps stop the waterway from getting clogged. And there's no wild life to disturb in there now, maybe the occasional water vole but I'm sure they'll keep their heads down.
