What a difference a week makes

Woke up to driving rain, strong gusts and huge waves. Braved the GP for my annual routine blood tests.

Kept reminding myself to QPR scan for the NHS Test and Trace — they don’t have one. Surprised, but otherwise generally well organised, with only 2 others in a large waiting hall.

Glimpse of blue sky as we left. So drove back, parked, and we headed down the slope to the Pier. Windy, but refreshing, and was well dressed for it. A few around, mainly doggie people.

Hoped to have a coffee on the terrace at Chineside. Closed. Walked to Vesuvio. Idem. So returned and found a relatively sheltered spot at West Beach. Treated myself to a small glass of Chablis. Unexceptional for the price (don’t ask). Back home at around 3pm.

Weather warnings for tomorrow and Sunday now upped to AMBER. Heavy rain. So we may be marooned at home.
