Growing

We had a friend stay recently.
He brought me a cutting from a lily which was kind of him.
Trouble is, he told me that the original plant was over 60 years old and had belonged to his own father.
No pressure on me then. Only have to keep it alive till next year when he’ll no doubt visit again.
I know he will be expecting to see it thriving.
Worried by the dying bit but pleased to see some little shoots.
Time will tell if it will survive ...,
