STRANGE....

Today we dipped into our no caravan trip account!!! And headed off to Hampshire. The Rev has sorted the day....first of all we went to visit #Mottisfont National Trust. We had been before but he couldn’t remember til we got there!!!! It didn’t matter as the change in seasons make it worth a revisit and last time we couldn’t visit the kitchen garden because we had Daisy with us. #We had a lovely river walk and saw brown trout about 40cm!!!
Then ....and this is the strange bit....we
Checked into our accommodation....we have stayed here before and (without any knowledge he’d booked it ) it was the place I called yesterday about passing on my stamps...very strange. Or we are both so in tune with each other!?!?!
#we had room 1 this time ....the room that Villeneuve stayed 1800s. It’s got a massive 4 poster #a luxurious bathroom bigger than than the bedroom and a secret staircase to an attic room.

The British sent Villeneuve to England on the Euryalus but released him on parole; during this time he lived in Bishop's Waltham in Hampshire. He stayed at the Crown Inn public house and his men, who numbered 200, stayed in local houses. He was allowed to attend the funeral of Lord Nelson at Bishop's Waltham. Freed in late 1805, he returned to France, where he attempted to go back into military service, but his requests were not answered.
