Colchicum baytopiorum

Another small colchicum species, this one a little larger than Colchicum cupanii, has distinctive yellow markings in the throat of the flower.    It's named for Turkish Botanist Asuman Baytop and native to western Turkey and the Greek island of Rhodes.   I have not tried to outside yet, it might not like a cool, wet summer rest period.

A quite day at home.   We worked on Jamie's Work Capability Assessment, part of his Universal Credit application, for quite a while.  It's about half done but the necessary focus on what Jamie finds difficult, what he can't do, is not easy, unsettling and best done in small doses.   Later I used the telescopic loft ladder that was delivered yesterday to sort a bit of storage space in the loft.   Checking around, much of the loft space lacks insulation - another job to go on the list.

J & R are engaged on making a fruit crumble for supper now, so the day is going to end well :-)
