Twin apartment blocks

There are three blocks of flats in Stamford, each 14 stories high. Some people feel they are an eye sore and should be demolished.

For me personally, I like them because they remind me of the three blocks of flats that used to stand in the Oxgangs area on the south side of Edinburgh. They too were 14 stories high.

I was born in Capelaw Court and have fond memories of growing up there. Real families, real people, real characters. I suspect these Stamford flats are the same.

We talk about 'twinning' cities. How about having twinned apartment blocks.?
