The dropped stitch

Day of rain

A lot of murky water pouring under the bridge at the Golf Course this afternoon.

The rain persisted all day.

At lunchtime I attended a Suffolk Family History Society meeting thanks to the wonders of Zoom. Approximately 150 participants, from all over the UK and beyond. Each signed in with their name and a report of the weather: rain, rain and more rain. Actually not all - dry and very hot in New Zealand.

Our speaker recounted the story of Kate Webster who murdered her landlady in 1879. A gory tale of dismembered body parts. I think anyone who was listening whilst eating their lunch may have rather lost their appetite.
