i smoked it

Smoked Lobster

1 lobster, picked
1 apple, cored & sliced
half an onion, sliced
fresh thyme
salt & pepper

mix the apple and onion with the thyme and salt & pepper

i used oak smoking chips because that’s what was open, but i will use apple flavoured chips next time, or maybe cherry.

i piled the apple, onion, salt & pepper and thyme on some foil and placed the lobster on top. then some butter with 2 whole cloves of garlic.

smoked for half an hour on a medium to low heat.

(as i had a fat bulb of garlic, i added that to the box too - i love smoked garlic).

after tasting: next time i might mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a bit more salt and maybe a smidge of good olive oil. the apple and onion is definitely a good combo with lobster. on a bit of peppery rocket, this is a tasty lunch.
