The hotel, that once was

I referred to this fire on the 24th September. To quote the Echo “ More than 110 firefighters attended the scene at the four-storey former Woodcroft Tower Hotel overnight.”

It’s been a sad sight for a few years, boarded up, had another fire not that long ago, and attracted uninvited guests (drug addicts, homeless etc).. Neighbouring hotels complained bitterly.

Finally got round to seeing the damage.
It’s just round the corner. Wonder what happens now. They can’t leave it in that state. No doubt there will be an application to build flats.

Rarely enter Marlieske’s Derelict Sunday challenge, but this seems a perfect subject.

Otherwise rain, rain and more rain. The worst is over. The weekend wasn’t as dramatic as I expected.
