New beginnings

Pont de Barret

Mostly wet Sunday but we managed to get out shortly this morning to pick some vegetables at the allotment to make the first soup of the winter.
After Louise left for Grenoble at 6 pm we went for a drive as the sun was shining between the clouds. We left slightly too late however as it got dark but we are a nice walk in Pont de Barret where Sandy’s parents used to rent a holiday house when Natasha was a baby. We celebrated France winning the world cup in 1998 with the village crowd.
We learnt recently that the old English lady who owned the house died last winter but her name is still on the letterbox.
