Half full, or half empty?

I'd left the basin out after I'd been picking pears. This was the amount of rainfall it collected on Saturday.

Later on, there was  a very enjoyable zoom call with blippers past and present, hosted by Raheny Eye. My glass was less than half full, but since it contained Talisker that was probably only sensible.
