The River Anker

This photo shows a very brown and muddy River Anker as it runs through Tamworth town centre. To the right of the shot there are terraced flowerbeds, a bandstand and the castle. I won't mention the ugly 1980's shopping centre!!! To the left are extensive green areas popular for picnics in the summer. Beyond the bridge the Anker briefly merges with the Tame before they split again and head out of town.

It's a beautiful sunny day......and it's Friday!
