Surprise View

Surprise View, near Keswick, lived up to it’s name this morning!

Such a wonderful view of Derwentwater and beyond!

We then walked along the hanging valley to Watendlath ( about an hour each way )...the tea room was open...fantastic rock cakes!

The ‘extra’ shows the classic view of Ashness Bridge which is on the way up to Surprise View. ( it was completely empty! )
