Gentian

A warm, sunny morning .... not a breath of wind to keep nature's wee fliers in hiding ..... wasps, bees, hoverflies and butterflies .... I saw them all today. A Red Admiral butterfly came and settled on my phone but there was no way it was going to wait for me to work one-handed with my camera.

The park was very busy for a Monday morning .... think folk are making the most of any fine weather that comes our way.

I popped into the garden centre on my way home to top up my bird supplies and to look at the rockery plants. I've never ben very successful growing blue flowers .... gentians and blue poppies just don't thrive in my garden ..... guess my fingers aren't green enough.
