Another shop from the high street...

......and most probably my favourite.
This is Martyns tea and coffee shop, it has been around since 1897 and l suspect has not changed that much, it is now run by the 4th generation of the Martyn family.
About once a day they roast coffee on an amazing old roaster in the window of the shop, smoke billows down the high street and the smell is very enticing. Inside are boxes of teas and coffee, various confectionaries, pickles, jams etc. At Christmas it is definitely a place l like to go to get little gifts in the culinary line. They are not a cafe, if you want a drink you will have to go elsewhere.
Having chosen our tea and coffee we have go to a window with our wares and pay through that window, it has always been thus. I also go there to get new seals for my cooker top espresso machine.
First extra shows where we pay, the second of the rows of packeted tea and coffee etc.
