Stromness

Today I was volunteering with the RSPB at Loch of Banks. Didn't get a useable image from there. We were planting up a 'corncrake corridor' ie turning a piece of rough grass into an area where corncrakes could find cover when they arrive in spring from Africa. We went up Burgar Hill and dug up some common nettle rhizomes and then transplanted them.
Afterward I got dropped off in Stromness and saw that the water of Hamnavoewas very smooth- I've made it look quite Mediterranean.
