Watendlath

Today was on the whole quite dry with sunny periods in the afternoon. We stopped a couple of times at the southern end of Derwentwater and then at Ashness Bridge where one my extras was taken and reached Watendlath at about lunch time. There were fleeting glimpses of sunshine throughout the afternoon so much of the time was spent waiting for clouds to clear  until there were shafts of sunlight on different aspects of the landscape. My blip was taken from the wee hillock just over the reconstructed bridge at Watendlath looking south towards Derwentwater and my extra is of Watendlath Tarn looking to the north from the same vantage point.
