Supper

It’s kind of an overcast day here today, and a bit cool. So her good self made me some buns and bread today.

So supper today was a simple affair. Fresh bread and cheese, butter and jam, pickles and some canned meat. The hot tea topped it off nicely.

Sometimes it’s the simple things that get caught in the memory. I recall such meals with my grandparents. It all comes back pretty quickly when I sit down to a meal like this.

So it wasn’t just the fresh bread that fed us. Memories did too.
