Rain & sun on West Coast NZ

We are now in Okarito, a gorgeous seaside village with about 25 permanent resident and no shops. Locals rent out their holiday homes, and our lovely comfortable one has a view of the beach and Tasman sea. We will enjoy a walk after dinner.

The photo is Jill at Lake Mathieson-famous for its reflections of Mt Cook (our tallest mountain)- however, it wasn’t to be today. It was nice to walk into through a lovely beech forest.
