Autumn Glory

A wonderful warm late afternoon soaking up the golden autumn colours lit by bright sunshine. It was a joy to stand there, look around and listen to the birds as they played in the tree tops.

I spied the smallish tree (possibly ash?) in the distance and, wondering whether there was enough separation from the willow behind, decided to chance a shot. I used a wide aperture to help with that.

With a little bit of burning in to tone down the willow and bring out the shape of the tree, I think it was successful. The dead trees to the right and the out of focus dark leaves overhead, help to frame the central subject.
