Day 284/20 At last, a decent shot of a Lynx

This is a Eurasian Lynx, taken this morning at the New Forest Wildlife Park. I've been trying for some time to get a half decent shot of the Lynx. Today my patience paid off with a shot showing the characteristic tufted ears and short, stubby tail.
The Eurasian lynx is a medium-sized wild cat occurring from Northern, Central and Eastern Europe to Central Asia and Siberia, the Tibetan Plateau and the Himalayas. It inhabits temperate and boreal forests up to an altitude of 5,500 m.
The Lynx is threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching and depletion of prey. The Eurasian lynx population in Europe is estimated at comprising maximum 10,000 individuals and is considered stable.
