that view

As we rumble over the cattle grid at the top of Elterwater Common and this view down Langdale valley welcomes us back a smile automatically comes on my face. I just love Langdale and autumn is my favourite time. I would say the colours are not as advanced this year as we have seen before but rain or shine this is a week to enjoy. 
Dan and Lotty arrived just before us and we met them in the hotel bar which has been rearranged to comply well with the regs. He was also happy to plug his car into a free super fast plug and was recharged in no time. Now its time to recharge our batteries, not that they need much recharging in retirement :-)
