An Unmitigated Disaster..

...growing lettuces this year!! The only specimen which did any growing but reached the derelict stage before the edible one...there may have been some dereliction of duty on the part of the gardener! It would appear I’m better at clearing gardens than growing things :-(

A lazy, grey day with countless midges...not pleasant in the garden this afternoon.
