Sunshine Sunday

Slept ok....woke quite late, no noise outside :-)

We decided on a walk into town, collected the papers, hub sat and read a while whilst I walked up to the church, hoping to find some autumn colour, it was too early, all the congregations cars were still parked up the drive, didnt look attractive.

Walked back, met hub and we walked to Costa for a coffee....spent an hour sat reading, before heading home again.

As the weather was so nice we decided that we didnt want to spend the day indoors so did an aboutmturn, jumped in the car and drove to Southport :-)

A couple of road closures didnt help our journey, ended up having to detour twice, but got there in the end. Obivously it was busier than a week day, but everyone was prettty mindful of the current situation. We had a bacon barm for lunch, yes, besides the pier at our usual place, never disappoints ;-)

Afterwards a wander up the pier and back, hen along the promenade, around the lake and eventually back to the car. Hubs knee was feeling it by the time we got back, but he made it. Clocked up +16k steps today.

The late afternoon light was pretty good, despite the low sun.....struggled to choose which shot for my main blip, so have added 3 in extras too!

We are having a bit of a cheats dinner tonight, since we didnt get home until almost 6pm, Chinese duck with pancakes, julienne carrots, spring onions & cucumber, with hoisin sauce.

Just watching Countryfile to see what the week ahead has in store for us weatherwise. Just hope we can still get out & about after tomorrows announcements :-/
