A calm day

We all went out to Sidmouth late morning.  Our grandson was looking fairly poorly first thing but after a late breakfast he soon perked up once outside. The weather was fairly sunny and very still.  The sea was beautiful shades of blue and very calm.  A few people were swimming and many others strolling around.  We ate our lunch and walked along the sea front and through the Byes.  Although there were a few dark clouds looming we managed to stay dry and the sun soon came out again.  We were pleased to see our grandson continued to improve and  to be more his normal self.  Back home I enjoyed helping him be bathed and put to bed.  I had forgotten just how special those relaxed sleepy times are as his legs are gently massaged and then his face and head stroked while softly lulling him to sleep.
