Roa Island, Piel and Blackpool tower

A  beautiful day. Felt warmer.
Drove down to Rampside and then walked along the coastal path towards home. ( halfway then back to Rampside This path is the opposite end to our usual walk to the Sea wall.
A nice leisurely stroll and it was good to feel a warm sun. A few walkers and more than a few cyclists but not too busy. We took our time and enjoyed the good weather because there wont be too many days as good as this, this side of Christmas.
There was no wind, very still in fact, but the tide was out and this does help.
Main photo is of the 2 islands Roa in the foreground and Piel with the ruined castle, behind.
If you zoom in between the 2 you can see Blackpool tower on the other side of Morecambe  Bay. Extra shows Rampside. The ' beach is now all marsh grass. The tide does come in but only just covers it.

Back home I decided to mow the lawn. Its been a couple of weeks since I did it and it has grown a bit . Perhaps the last mow before spring?
I tidied up the edges while a little robin kept watch. M reckons it's the one that was about earlier this year. I did go and get my camera but of course it disappeared.  Camera shy?

Today was the day we were going on holiday down to Sherwood. Wed a few places we were looking forward to ( eg the Japanese Garden at Newstead Abbey which would have looked wonderful at this time of the year)
But we decide last week, after looking at the news re Covid that it may be better not to go, especially as it seems there may be stricter restrictions planned soon. As it is M has his hospital appointment on Tuesday. Hopefully if the weather is ok and we arent in lockdown we can get our trip to Muncaster .

Thank you for the stars and commente everyone. Stay safe and wel xx
